Lizz – LCP, Clamon Counseling Services

Welcome to the transformative journey of self-discovery and healing!

I am Lizz, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas. Through my own mental health journey, I realized how limited the representation of minorities and people of color is. I struggled to find a therapist who looked like me and understood the cultural aspects I brought with me. I was lucky enough to find a therapist who was dedicated to learning and growing along with me. I hope to create that space for you.

I provide bilingual services, Spanish and English, which allows me to connect with clients from various cultural backgrounds, fostering a deeper understanding of their experiences and providing a safe space for open communication. I am dedicated to respecting and embracing diversity, ensuring that every individual feels heard and valued.

I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University – Texarkana. I had the opportunity to hone various skills in all the positions I held before doing the wonderful work of therapy. Those included being a Career Coach, an Admissions Advisor, a receptionist, and working at Burger King. Every experience provided valuable practice and led me to where I am today.

My work centers around supporting survivors of narcissistic abuse, guiding individuals through life transitions, navigating burnout, breaking the cycle of generational trauma and identifying patterns rooted in childhood that continue to shape your present. I provide a safe, affirming space for clients from all walks of life, especially those experiencing the complexities of identity, cultural expectations, and intergenerational wounds.

If you’ve been questioning your relationships, feeling stuck in old dynamics, or trying to understand why certain patterns keep repeating, you are not alone! Together, we’ll slow things down, get curious, and create new, healthier behaviors that align with the life you want and honors where you’ve been and where you’re ready to go.

As an LPC-Associate, I am actively working towards completing the requirements for full LPC licensure in the State of Texas. I am working under the supervision of Megan Shelton, LPC-Supervisor.

I am excited to embark on the path to positive change together!
